Everything you type is kept in this browser, on this computer — not in the file you downloaded and not online. Clearing browser data, switching browsers or computers can wipe it.

Press Export backup above every so often while you plan, and keep the backup file somewhere safe. Import backup brings it back.

The trip

The budget

Everything on the Budget tab measures against this.

ℹ Nothing to set per person. Each traveler’s share is calculated automatically in Budget — from the expenses you split or mark just for them — and it updates as plans change.

Every total in the planner uses this currency.
The currency prices are quoted in where you’re headed. Pick a different one and every price shows in both currencies — home first, quoted second.
Spending in another currency? Set “Prices quoted in” above, look up a current mid-market rate with any currency converter (xe.com), and every price in the planner shows in both currencies. A one-off price in a third currency can still be converted right on the expense itself, under “Quoted in another currency?” on the Budget tab. Planning only: rates change, and card networks and money-transfer providers may use different rates and fees.

Sea-teal is what each person has already put in; magenta-pink is what they still owe toward their share. Costs marked Everyone with no Paid by aren’t charged to anyone personally.
